My painting career began in 1991 by first volunteering work to charitable auctions which then led to offers of projects that were experimental at the time. Since then thousands of jobs have been completed using techniques in trompe l’ oeil (french for fool the eye ) faux finishes, and muraling.

Much of my work is on the walls, floors and ceilings of homes and businesses. In recent years I’ve been doing more commissions in my studio such as floor cloths, portraits, painted furniture. The floor cloths are the best representation of what I strive to achieve. Creating beautiful, art combining it with function. Unlike a mural, the floor painting can be rolled up and moved to a new location.

My love of paint comes by the idea that anything can be made to appear or disappear at will....how perfect is that! Best of all, I’m not limited by perfection, although I do tend to push for it most of the time.

As you look through these pages you see only original works that have never been duplicated. Just not possible since no patterns or templates are used. In fact, I’m not known to have a plan when starting a painting, other than drawing from a clients personality and style. So I use my intuition and just keep at the work until I’m satisfied. I often say “I don’t know how it will look until it’s finished”.

I’ve been fortunate to have been paid to do what I love and continue on with what I do, thanks to all those who have invested in a piece of my painting life.
